GENERAL: ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) aka Lou Gehrig’s Disease strikes 1 in 50,000 civilians, yet members of the US military and veterans of same are twice as likely to be diagnosed with it no matter their age, race, or use of gender-neutral latrine. 

SITUATION: 14 years, 1 month, 21 days.

OPERATIONS: Continued application of all resources available.

INTELLIGENCE-RECONNAISSANCE: NSTR

LOGISTICS: Supply chains unimpeded, save for wx

COMMUNICATIONS-CONNECTIVITY: Continued ocular IR comm, various applications.

PERSONNEL: ALS Functional Rating Scale score: 7 out of 45.

SIGNIFICANT POLITICAL-MILITARY-DIPLOMATIC EVENTS: SNAFU, Tango Uniform 

COMMANDER’S EVALUATION: Down time today: 19 hrs.  Beginning to feel more alien in my chair than in the bed. So thankful for the things I have to prevent skin breakdown as I am unable to turn myself. Only able to take small sips of coffee through straw. Still able to tolerate unassisted breathing while out of the bed, 96-98% O². Use vent for all excursions out, but very rare due to intolerability, headaches etc.
